I would like to take this opportunity to share with you how Active Isolated Stretching has been beneficial to me in many ways. Since I’ve been in school (about 10 years ago), I have been struggling with a pain starting from my groin area, spreading into my hip and up into my lower back. This pain I experience comes and goes and are mostly triggered while I’m being active like participating in sports or walking long distances. When I’m experiencing this pain it really affects the way I perform. I’ve reached a point where I realized that this isn’t getting better and I need help.
Over the years I’ve undergone many different methods of treatment but no one could establish the cause of the problem, hence the pain could not be successfully treated. The different treatments would ease the pain, which made me believe that I was healing, but only until the next sporting activity. The pain seemed to never disappear. I stopped going for different treatments and began to make peace with the fact that this pain is a part of my life now. For a few years I’ve been carrying on with the pain until I reached a point where I simply could not bear the pain anymore. In this moment I realized that my body is the temple of God and I should look after His temple.
The scripture of 3 John 1:2 kept coming to me “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” So by knowing who I am, God’s temple, I made the decision to rule and reign over the pain that has been affecting me for so long. At this point in time a couple of my friends have been going to Ryno van den Berg at Stretching S.A for stretching therapy with very positive feedback. I decided to make an appointment with him. This has been the best decision of my life.
During our consultation Ryno was able to identify the problem, the cause of my pain: stiffness in the knees, hips and adductors. After my first stretching session I already experienced major relief. I am currently 11 sessions into my recovery where I attend a 30 min stretching session with Ryno weekly, and the pain is almost completely gone. There is still some work to do, but I can’t begin to explain the difference I feel in my body. I never realized that the muscles in my body were so stiff until I’ve started stretching and I felt what it actually feels like not to be stiff.
I can truly recommend Stretching S.A, Ryno van den Berg and Active Isolated Stretching to anyone struggling with any sort of pain. This is a natural way of healing as opposed to needle therapy or possible surgery for example. Thank you Ryno and Stretching S.A for what you are doing. You have changed not only my life, but many others as well for the better. I look forward to more sessions together on my journey to full recovery.
